We understand that visiting a new church for the first time can be incredibly daunting for some people therefore we want to give you an idea of what to expect if you decide to come along to HOPE.
Our atmostphere is relaxed and our dress code is informal. Most people wear jeans/casualwear - however if you are more comfortable wearing something more formal, feel free to do so.
Upon arriving at Hope you can park your vehicle anywhere in our car park. You will be greeted at the front door by one of our welcome team. If you have any questions at all, they should be able to help you.At 9.30am or 11.30am, whoever is leading the service will welcome everyone and give a short summary of what to expect.
We then will have a time of contemporary worship (singing) which lasts for approximately 20-25 minutes. The music group normally consists of a worship leader, and instruments such as guitars, keyboard and drums. The words of the songs will appear on screens. During this time feel free to stand, sit or whatever is most comfortable for you.
We will then receive our offering (financial contributions from those who consider Hope to be their home church). The kids and pre-school kids will then be excused to head out to Hope Kids (Sunday School) or Little Rays (creche). All of our volunteers have been trained and have been checked by the NI child protection agency (Access NI). As the kids are leaving there is an opportunity to meet and greet those sitting around you.
At this point we will have the sermon/message. Our speaker will typically take a Bible passage and explain it, hopefully making it relevant and practical to everyday living. This will last around 30 minutes. Again the Bible verses and key points will appear on the screens.
Following the sermon we normally have one more song and, after a final blessing, our service is over.
Tea and coffee is served before the 9.30am service and immediately following the 11.30 service.
We would love you to join us.
